The Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) allows provinces to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and who are interested in settling in a particular province. This is a fast track option for Canadian Permanent Residency.
The provinces which have a program in place to nominate individual are
- Alberta
- Manitoba
- Newfoundland and Labrador
- Ontario
- Saskatchewan
- British Columbia
- New Brunswick
- Nova Scotia
- Prince Edward Island
- Yukon
- Northwest Territories
Each of the above mentioned provinces have their own eligibility criteria. Once the applicant is nominated by the province he or she can apply for either a work permit or permanent residence depending on the situation.
Some of the provinces have nomination programs for skilled workers as well as business investors and entrepreneurs.
